A clip from the documentary ‘Or Forever Hold Your Peace’. I can’t embed it but it is archived here.
It’s now my great pleasure to introduce Helen Voicey of Castle Hill High School
The High School administration didn’t like it when we took the moratoriums into the schools. It bugged them to see the kids they are training for their society, turn around and question values of that society.
Not only did they not like it, they tried to suppress it.
They tried their hardest to stop us bringing just basic democratic rights, like discussion, like wearing a moratorium badge into the schools.
As we are here in numbers, we want to stop this rotten war in Vietnam, we are doing our best within our schools to talk about this, to show other kids what we think is the truth about Vietnam.
Support us.
We need your support in fighting against the administration tat is trying to keep discussion and debate out of the schools.
Thank you.
